A Milestone Worth Celebrating

It feels like only yesterday that we were celebrating our 1,000th roadshow milestone.

Fast forward to today, just 11 months later, and we're proud to have reached another incredible landmark in our journey - our 3,000th roadshow.

Just three years after hosting our very first event, this milestone is a reflection of the dedication of our team, the support of our customers, and the communities that continue to welcome us through their doors week after week. To mark the occasion, we returned to a location that has become a special part of the WeBuyVintage story: Beverley Minster Parish Hall.

Returning to Beverley

Beverley holds a special place in the hearts of WeBuyVintage. It was here, at Beverley Minster Parish Hall, that we celebrated our 1,000th roadshow milestone, making it the perfect place to mark another major chapter in our journey.

Returning to a familiar venue brought with it a real sense of reflection. As the doors opened and visitors began to arrive, it was impossible not to think about how far the business has come in such a short space of time.

With the sun shining and a fantastic turnout throughout the day, Beverley once again proved why it remains one of our favourite locations to visit.

Joining us for the occasion was BBC Antiques Expert, David Harper, who spent the day chatting with visitors, hearing the stories behind their items and helping us celebrate this special event.

The Team Behind the Tables

Helping to make the day such a success were our team of expert appraisers, Dan, Herman and Kieran, who welcomed visitors from across the local area and spent time exploring the fascinating stories behind the items brought to their tables.

Supporting them throughout the day was also roadshow assistant Mark, who greeted visitors as they arrived and helped ensure everyone felt welcome from the moment they stepped through the door.

One of the things we enjoy most about our roadshows is the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life and learn about the history behind the items they have treasured, inherited or collected over the years - and Beverley was no exception.

The Stories Behind the Items

At every roadshow, we see hundreds of items come through the doors. From jewellery and watches to coins, silverware, vintage toys and collectables - every item has a story to tell.

One particularly memorable piece brought along on the day was a nurse's belt, awarded to its owner upon her graduation. With a hallmark dating back to 1904, the piece represented not only a treasured personal possession, but also over a century of nursing history!

Another visitor brought in a collection of silverware that had previously been valued elsewhere. Seeking a second opinion proved incredibly worthwhile, with our appraiser Dan offering 3.5 times more than the original valuation she had received.

We also met a gentleman who had purchased a collection of vintage silver spoons for £60 around 10 years ago. Having decided it was time to sell, he left the roadshow having doubled his original investment.

These stories serve as a reminder that many items tucked away in drawers, cupboards and cabinets can hold surprising value. More importantly, they highlight the benefit of sitting down face-to-face with an experienced appraiser who can take the time to understand both the item and its history.

3,000 Roadshows Later

While reaching our 3,000th roadshow is an achievement we're incredibly proud of, it's also an opportunity to reflect on everything that milestone represents.

Behind every roadshow are countless conversations, fascinating discoveries and personal stories shared by customers across the UK. Over the past three years, we've had the privilege of meeting thousands of people, valuing an extraordinary range of items and helping customers unlock value in possessions they may have otherwise overlooked.

Milestones like these are never achieved by one person alone. They are built through the combined efforts of our appraisers, operational teams, marketing staff, event organisers and everyone working behind the scenes to make each of our roadshows possible.

Our Next Chapter

As we celebrate our 3,000th roadshow, we're incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of our journey so far.

To our team - thank you for your dedication and hard work. To our customers - thank you for trusting us with your stories, your collections and your sentimental pieces. Whether you've attended just one roadshow or many over the years, you've each played a valuable part in helping us reach this milestone.

If the last three years have taught us anything, it's that every roadshow brings something unique and memorable, and we're excited to see what the future holds.
