About our roadshows

At WeBuyVintage we are proud to be working with some of the most reputable antique and vintage buyers in the UK.

On the day you can expect a warm welcome (with tea and cake of course!) before a transparent face-to-face appraisal with our team of experts. They'll make you a no-obligation cash offer on the day for your items.

Given the popularity of our event, we highly encourage you take the time to RSVP so we can ensure we have plenty of experts available on the day.

How it works

Each event has between 2-5 experts at hand ready to appraise to your items and give you all the information you need to make an informed decision on whether to sell.

​

Simply bring your items along, wait with a complimentary hot drink and cake, and then when it's your turn unpack your items at an appraisal desk.

Your expert will make you a no-obligation cash offer and pay you via cash or bank transfer if you choose to sell.

What items do well?

Our customers typically bring an earn the most from:

Gold jewellery in any condition, scrap gold, silverware (cutlery, tea sets), war medals, pre-1947 British silver coins, gold coins, watches in any condition, pocket watches, fountain pens and more.

​

We are not currently accepting breakables (porcelain, glass, china), clothing or electronics.

Community matters

You may see us advertising in your area for up to 4 weeks before an event. Respecting your community as we travel across the country is essential to us.

We provide local businesses (pubs, cafes, corner shops, etc) with leaflets that they can use to earn extra money for themselves should you attend our event using their introduction. We also hire locally to help us remove signage after events. 

​

Most importantly, we do not engage in any unscrupulous buying tactics at our events. We want to maintain a reputation for fairness so we are welcomed back to your area.

We're here to give you a fair price with a quick payment for your valuables - whether it's old, modern, broken, battered or has bits missing.

Please note: we do not buy clothing, electronics or breakables.

  • Do you provide quotes before I send my items?
    The value of every item we appraise is dependent on condition, age, quality and authenticity - which means we must assess it in person to be able to give you a price. But remember, if our offer to you is unsuitable, we’ll send everything back free of charge - so you have nothing to lose.
  • What does my Free Postage Pack contain?
    Your Free Postage Pack contains a helpful product/service guide, an introductory letter, your personal sender information stickers for the outside of your parcel, and a pre-paid postage label.
  • How many items do I need to sell?
    The more items you pack, the higher your offer will be. So whilst there's no minimum, and no maximum, we recommend sending at least 5 items ranging across multiple categories. If you have something particularly special you want us to see, you can WhatsApp us to check your item first.
  • Can I arrange a home collection instead of going to the Post Office?
    Absolutely! Just give us a call, send us an email or message us on WhatsApp for a FREE home collection.
  • My item isn’t referenced on your site, does that mean you aren’t interested?
    Please send us a picture via Whatsapp to check your item - if it’s old and vintage, we probably buy it! Even if it isn't something we can purchase from you, our network of dealers and collectors may still be interested.
  • How long does it take before you contact me with an offer?
    From the point we receive your parcel, we'll appraise it carefully and contact you with an offer within 24 hours.
  • How does the postage insurance work?
    Your parcel is automatically insured up to £1,000. If you have items more valuable, please contact us and we can increase the value of your insurance.
  • Is it really free?
    Yes - all costs are covered by us, even if you ask for your items back.
  • Can I visit you in person?
    We provide 30-minute appraisals at our HQ in Leeds: 525 York Road, Leeds, LS9 6TA. Just walk in between Mon-Fri 10am and 6pm, or Saturday 10am to 4pm. Alternatively, you can attend one of the many roadshow events we hold nationwide every year.
  • What happens if my items aren't worth anything?
    If your items have little to no value, we will return it for FREE, or arrange a donation to a more suitable outlet on your behalf.
